Landcare  | Is an international organisation committed to balancing farming production with nature conservation. It brings together a whole range of independent groups to share experiences, gather information and take action in local communities. There are almost 5000 community Landcare groups working locally throughout Australia. | Conservation Volunteers Australia  | The mission of Conservation Volunteers Australia is to attract and manage a force of volunteers in practical conservation projects for the betterment of the Australian environment. It was founded in 1982 in Ballarat, Victoria as the Australian Trust for Conservation Volunteers. Today they employ more than 120 full time staff. | Would you like to do more?? Greenfleet is a not for profit organisation that focuses on reducing the impact of greenhouse emissions from Australian transport. Transport is the fastest growing source of greenhouse emissions, the primary cause of climate change. Greenfleet invites individual motorists and organisations to subscribe to the program where, for a small tax-deductible fee, Greenfleet plants native trees on behalf of motorists to neutralise greenhouse emissions from their cars. Greenfleet's largest tree planting project is 'Murray-Darling Rescue', a partnership with Scouts Australia. |
